I’ve always been interested in textures, particularly how weather and age affect surfaces and materials over time but noticing these cars sparked a fire in me to translate them into large scale oils. The decay of our manufactured and mass produced items are mostly seen as “junk” to be disposed of. I find such beauty once items have undergone the process of decay and love how the look will often compliment and mimic the beauty in the natural world of water, the ground and sky.
